I'm half way through Freakonomics, which is fascinating but requires more concentration than I have at the end of the day. Read a couple of novels, too, and also Prevention and Good Food magazines. The book I finished last night is a rather shallow one. I can't remember what I was searching for, perhaps "what to wear to a wedding" or something, when I stumbled across "How Not to Look Old" by Charla Krupp. There's a lot in there that's Trinny and Susannah-ish, and lots of clothes I would not wear EVER, but there are worthwhile little hints in the book. She has recommendations for creams and potions and the like, and a lot of them are drug store/supermarket items, so that's good. The author seems to think that make up is vital, which I'm not convinced of, but, again, it's interesting to read what about what I could do, if I could be bothered. I borrowed this book from the library. It's quite chatty, there are lots of photos in it, and it is worth a look just to see what other people do about dress, hair, etc, if nothing else. I certainly don't agree with everything in the book, but she makes some good points. charlakrupp.com/content/book-how-not-to-look-old.asp?id=DescriptionElisa
