Wow, we actually got the forum upgraded. I hope it is not too confusing. I have dd20 home at the moment. She had her teeth done on Tuesday, her wisdom teeth. She is starting to feel better. The bruising is now yellow and she seems brighter, though she is still in pain. I think she is starting to look forward to things she will be able to do when she goes home, which will be Thursday when I got to the regional centre, for the salon and to get my hair cut and pick up a layby. It saves petrol, she was going to go home earlier, but when she realised how sick she was and dependent a little, she changed her mind. At the moment the uni kids are getting their books ready to start next week. Dd is doing some painting, that must help, designing an album cover. Her new boyfriend is into music. They have two classes together and he is going to stay overnight some nights since she will be going to stay with his family on the weekends. It will be nice for ds 22 to have extra company, you never know they may get on. It is his birthday next week, they are all getting older. I am not doing much, I guess I was just coping with the weather. But it has rained so it gives me a chance to recover.

Hi everyone, Wow...the new forums are different from the old ones. So far, they don't seem to confusing. Wisdom teeth cause a lot of difficulties, don't they. I had mine out before they were even in (Dentist said they'd only cause problems so he might as well take them out). Nice your dd was able to stay with you BR while she heals. I feel I'm in "hang-on-winter-will-soon-be-over" mode. We've had very high winds, ice pellets, freezing rain, snow and rain over the last few days. Ds is getting ready to finish his last couple of months at school. Hard to believe he's been at it for three years now. Linda

Well things sure do look different around here!
It's miserable getting wisdom teeth out for sure. I agree, it's better for your dd to rest with you while she's recuperating. Plus it's better than worrying about her while she's far away.
You're lucky to have everyone's uni books sorted, Br, dd is still waiting for her book list. Her uni always takes forever to release full details of what's needed. She starts in two weeks.
Those three years have gone quickly, Linda, even from here!
Eldest ds and his gf were here for dinner tonight. They were bemoaning the high cost of housing here. It's gotten ridiculous; last night on the news our city was declared the 5th most expensive place to live in the WORLD.
By comparison, though, their 2 bedroom flat, with a very tired kitchen and bathroom but in terrific area costs around half what a nice flat costs to rent in New York City. The flat younger ds currently lives in there is costing even more again and it's only a 1 bedroom. Not sure how these kids will ever afford a house of their own, not without dh and I dying first so they can sell the family home and split the proceeds.
There is supposed to be actual rain tomorrow! The baked, shriveled plants will be delighted if that's the case.

It is really amazing that your ds is finishing school Linda. Mine is supposed to at the end of the year, my ds. But I won't be able to believe that until I am at his graduation, wow. And that your ds is in NY Elisa that is amazing as well.
